The third-party risk management platform was a key internal tool used by compliance and procurement teams to assess, onboard, and monitor vendors. However, as vendor volume and regulatory complexity grew, the system struggled to keep up. My role focused on rethinking the user experience end-to-end - from simplifying workflows to establishing a modern, data-driven interface that aligned with enterprise design standards.

My role focused on rethinking the user experience end-to-end - from simplifying workflows to establishing a modern, data-driven interface that aligned with enterprise design standards.

Problem

The existing platform relied heavily on manual processes and outdated interfaces. Risk assessments were handled through spreadsheets and emails, creating delays, inconsistencies, and poor traceability. Users found the interface cluttered and visually outdated, with limited automation or integration capabilities to support scalable compliance work. Collaboration across teams was fragmented, reporting lacked depth, and accessibility issues prevented wider adoption — leading to inefficiency and low confidence in the system’s reliability.

Solution

Reimagining the Risk Management Experience

The redesign introduced a unified, modern experience that consolidated all vendor risk activities into a single, intuitive platform. Automated workflows replaced manual steps, while integrated data sources and intelligent risk scoring improved accuracy and speed. A cleaner visual hierarchy, modular dashboards, and responsive design modernized the interface and aligned it with the company’s design system. Together, these updates reduced approval times, improved transparency, and restored trust in the platform as a scalable enterprise tool.
